Coaching for Care Partners

SJohnson6.jpg

You give so much. You deserve support too.

I offer one‑on‑one coaching for family care partners, especially those caring for someone with Parkinson’s or another chronic illness. Together we create space for you to breathe, sort through the hard stuff, and find steadier ground—without letting go of what matters most.

Meet Stephanie

I’ve lived this caregiving life too.

For 13 years, I cared for my husband, Rick, through his journey with Parkinson’s. I know the heavy parts—the late nights, the constant worry about safety, and the mix of love and exhaustion. I’ve felt that deep loneliness even when people are around, and I truly understand the weight of the work you do every single day.

With 15+ years of exerience as a hospital social worker, I’ve walked beside many families during their toughest times. I also taught patient advocacy at UW-Madison, but my heart is now in coaching. I use everything I’ve learned—both professionally and personally—to help care partners like you find your way and feel less alone.

I started the Parkinson's Disease Alliance of Wisconsin and am advocating to pass a state law to create the Rick Johnson Parkinson's Disease Registry. Helping people find better support is my life's mission.

Your Well-Being

How to prioritize yourself without guilt — because you can't pour from an empty cup.

Meaning & Joy

How to find moments of light alongside the hard days — and hold onto them.

Coaching is having someone in your corner.

Not therapy. Not advice-giving. A thought partner and advocate who helps you get clear on what matters most — and supports you in living that out.

THE PROCESS

How It Works

Getting started is simple — and there's no pressure.

1

Reach Out

Fill out the contact form with your name, email, and phone number. No commitment required.

2

Free Intro Call

We'll schedule a free call — by phone or video — so I can learn about you and where you are right now.

3

Begin Together

If it feels like a good fit, we'll agree on goals. I typically meet clients every other week for 6–8 sessions.

The “Breathe” Session

Ideal for: When everything feels like too much

A single 75‑minute session to pause, exhale, and sort through what’s weighing on you most. We’ll untangle the swirl, name what matters right now, and leave you with 1–3 gentle, doable next steps.

Whether you need a single deep breath or steady support over time, we’ll choose the pace that fits your life and your caregiving season.

Sustained Balance

Ideal for: Ongoing support as life shifts

Six bi‑weekly 60‑minute sessions. Space to process what’s happening, notice patterns, and build practices that help you stay grounded as caregiving changes. Email support between sessions is included.
Coaching Packages

The Advocate’s Path

Ideal for: Families wanting to feel more united

A 6‑month partnership that can include individual and joint sessions with family members. We’ll focus on communication, shared decision‑making, and caring for your relationships while you care for your loved one.
🌊 Ocean Soul

I am an ocean soul: deep blue waters, the quiet rhythm of rising tides, and the soft grace of sea turtles that show me how to move through life with patience.
